Counterpoint Music has been setup by Dunk Murphy to provide original music composition and sound design for film, television, advertising and digital media. Also providing pro-audio recording, mixing and mastering of voice and instrumentation. With a preference for 'real' instrumentation, impressive studio equipment and years of composition & performance experience, Counterpoint Music is seeking collaborative media projects looking for a unique and signature sound.
Dunk Murphy
Dunk Murphy has been composing and producing both acoustic and electronic music for over fifteen years. As a classically trained pianist and guitarist he expanded his skillset to include a deep knowlege of synthesizers, recording equipment and compositional techniques. He has been recording and performing solo as Sunken Foal and as a member of Ambulance, The Natural History Museum and David Kitt's live band for many years with a large back catalogue of releases.
Commercially he has composed scores for clients including Still Films, Creative Inc and Dynamo. He holds a first class honours Masters in Music Technology from University of Limerick where he focused his studies on digital generative composition and acoustic recording.
